Ardgowan Distillery join Race to Zero campaign
As Glasgow gears up for the kickoff of COP26, Ardgowan Distillery is proud to announce it has become a member of Race to Zero, publicly pledging to achieving net zero as soon as possible.
The campaign is committed to halving global emissions by 2030 and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Ardgowan Distillery’s involvement in the UN-backed campaign has been made possible through the Scotch Whisky Association’s partnership status.

Ardgowan Distillery plans to be carbon negative by 2024
The Ardgowan Distillery – which is about to build a flagship distillery and visitor centre near Inverkip, west of Glasgow – has pledged to be carbon negative in its operations by 2024.
To achieve this they have partnered with global distilling engineering specialists Briggs of Burton (Briggs) with the shared goal to deliver a carbon negative distillery in 2024.
