Construction on Ardgowan Distillery Company Limited’s distillery started in October 2023.
The Company appointed Muir Construction as the principal contractor and Synergy Construction for the groundworks and foundation package. Hescott Engineering have fabricated and erected the steel frame.
We are now at the point of being able to start the envelope works, and Fowler Mackenzie have been appointed for the roofing and cladding - their work will begin week commencing 8th April 2024.
In parallel with the building works Briggs of Burton are supplying all of the distillery equipment. The stills are currently being manufactured at Briggs’ subsidiary company McMillan at their facility in Prestonpans, just outside of Edinburgh.
