As a Thane, you are supporting our mission to create one of the world’s truly great whiskies, ensuring that our whisky gets all the time that it needs to become great whisky.
Thane Clan Ardgowan is a highly innovative programme where you pay £10,000. You will receive an Ardgowan hogshead cask, you choose the wood and the seasoning for your cask and in addition you will receive 30 bottles of Ardgowan Oldest at any time between year 10 and year 25.
You can become a Thane yourself or you can buy it as a very special gift for someone.
You pay £10,000, you get 30 bottles of Ardgowan Oldest, you get a cask, you get special Clan benefits.
What you get
Thane Clan Ardgowan is the second highest level of the Clan Ardgowan programme. It is a highly innovative programme where you buy an Ardgowan Cask, a hogshead of Single Malt distilled by Ardgowan Distillery Company Limited, which we will warehouse for you, fully insured for 10 years.
Ardgowan Oldest
In addition to your cask, you will also receive 5 cases (30 bottles) of Ardgowan Oldest, our oldest, most valuable whisky, at any time you choose between 10 and 25 years. This whisky will not be available in the shops or online – the only way to get it is to join the Clan or buy it at auction. As a Thane Clan Ardgowan, you will also enjoy access to exclusive Ardgowan special editions.
Other Benefits
- You are welcome to visit the Ardgowan Distillery (every year) at any time during construction and operation with up to 4 family and friends – we just ask that you notify us so that we can be ready for your visit
- You will be invited to dinners, distillery tours and tastings with our Master Whisky Maker
- You will enjoy access to Ardgowan Distillery special editions exclusive to Clan Ardgowan
- You will get a limited-edition t-shirt and special metallic pin with our compliments.
- You can transfer your Thane to another party (once you formally notify Ardgowan Distillery)
